SABRINA LASTMAN (Uruguay / Israel) is a vocalist, performer, and composer born in Montevideo, Uruguay. Drawing from jazz, Latin American, and contemporary music, she often integrates extended vocal techniques. Described as “perennially eclectic and innovative,” Sabrina leads the Sabrina Lastman Quintet, and creates and performs interdisciplinary new music projects incorporating voice, sound, movement, and visuals –these include Dialogues of Silence,On Becoming (with SoCorpo, album released 2009)River of Painted Birds, An Encounter with El Duende, and Inelement (with SoCorpo, album released 2013).

PETRONIO BENDITO (Brazil / USA) is an intermedia artist, designer, scholar and educator. He earned Doctoral (Ed.D.) and M.F.A. degrees from Northern Illinois University, and a B.F.A. from Central Michigan University. He also studied at the Federal University of Paraíba, in Brazil and Purdue University in the United States. His primary research interests are new media arts, color design methods, and visual literacy. He has worked extensively in interdisciplinary projects and has collaborated with musicians, dancers, choreographers, a light designer, and computer programmers. Bendito has exhibited, screened, performed, and presented his artworks and research projects throughout the United States and abroad in Brazil, Bulgaria, North Cyprus, France, Germany, Iceland, Italy, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and Turkey.

Bendito is a former member of the Board of Directors of the International Visual Literacy Association (IVLA), a former contributing editor for Media_N, a founding member of the New Media Caucus, and a current reviewer for the Journal of Visual Literacy. He has been involved in many community-based projects. He is a member of West Lafayette’s Public Arts Team and was instrumental in founding the Spectrum Gallery of the Pride Lafayette Community Center in Indiana. Bendito has presented his color design workshops in Brazil, France and in the United States. He is currently an Associate Professor in the Patti and Rusty Rueff School of Visual and Performing Arts at Purdue University (2001~). He has also taught at Northern Illinois University (USA), DePaul University (USA), and a Summer program at the American University of Paris (France).
